Lupin the Third: Goemon's Blood Spray (2017)
Lupin helps his friend, the samurai Goemon Ishikawa, to track down the brutal assassin responsible for the death of his yakuza boss.
A yakuza boss hires Goemon Ishikawa XIII, a modern day samurai, to protect him aboard his cruise ship casino. Everything goes sideways however when a terrifyingly powerful man— the so called “Ghost of Bermuda”— shows up to put world-famous thief Lupin in the ground... right when Lupin’s trying to rob the very same ship! With his employer dead in the ensuing chaos, Goemon’s honor is at stake, and the only way to preserve it is with blood.
But this opponent is like no other, and to make things right, Goemon may need to sharpen not only his sword, but himself as well! With a little help from Lupin and Jigen, of course.
Long Summary
A man is chopping wood near a luxurious villa when he is joined by a little girl who shows him three photos. Then the man arms himself with axes and, riding his motorbike, leaves to carry out his assignment. The scene shifts to a giant ship-gambling house owned by the yakuza , where Goemon has been hired as a bodyguard by the boss Makio Inaniwa, who places extreme trust in the samurai unlike his subordinates. At the same time, Lupin and Jigen carry out a coup to steal the proceeds from the gambling ship, but in the safe they meet Fujiko who had the same intention.
